The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has valued the social, cultural and economic achievements of the African continent, which is rich in the diversity of its natural resources, cultural heritage and noble values common to the peoples of Africa. During its participation, the member states of the African Group, the African Union, and the countries of the whole world emphasized the revival of "Africa Day" which falls on May 25 of each year, in remembrance of the founding day of the Organization of African Unity on May 25, 1963, whose name was later changed to the African Union. The OIC stressed its commitment to mobilizing efforts to provide support of all kinds to the peoples of the continent in order to contribute to the development of the economies of its member states in order to develop their structures and infrastructure and to advance the vital sectors of these countries in various fields, including education, agriculture, science and technology, media, culture and social affairs. The OIC indicated that it will spare no effort towards directing its various development projects to serve the development goals in Africa, in addition to the efforts made by the OIC's institutions such as the Islamic Development Bank, the Islamic Solidarity Fund for Development, the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO), and the Statistical Research Center SESRIC, the Islamic Solidarity Fund and its Waqf, to consolidate the objectives of the charter of the organization and all its instruments.
