Coincided with the first day of the blessed Eid Al-Fitr yesterday (Monday), "Jeddah Season 2022" in its second edition was kicked off at "Jeddah Art Promenade" zone and will last for 60 days, including 2,800 activity days, in 9 main zones, in the presence of a large number of Jeddah residents and visitors, who flocked to celebrate the season, enjoy various events and interesting live shows, and what distinguishes Jeddah as a permanent destination for tourism, entertainment and events. Activities of Jeddah Season 2022 have witnessed shows of drone formations in the sky of the city, and fireworks painted other formations to express the expressions of joy and happiness on the faces of visitors who filled the event zone overlooking Jeddah waterfront. Also, Cirque du Soleil activities were launched with a variety of international shows in the circus zone at King Abdullah Sports City, in the presence of a large number of visitors. Jeddah 2022 season brings this year a unique set of international events, artistic and theatrical shows that will be witnessed by the event sites, Arab and international art concerts, games and entertainment cities, in addition to the specialized exhibitions that will be witnessed in the season, as the season management was keen to invest all the tourist, historic, cultural and marine elements of Jeddah city to diversify the options for the visitor and family members, and to create more opportunities for the Saudi young men and women to participate in the season. For the first time, there will be daily fireworks displays throughout the season at "Jeddah Art Promenade", and the Cirque du Soleil event will present an exclusive show for the Jeddah season for the first time, and 4 international exhibitions, 7 Arab plays, two international plays, and a number of Arab and international art concerts will be held. The season will also present, for the first time, 70 interactive experiences, more than 60 entertainment games, many marine programs and activities, and many surprises that will bring joy to the people and visitors of Jeddah. For his part, Director General of Jeddah Season 2022 Nawaf Qumsani confirmed that this year's Jeddah Season comes with a new and distinctive identity, and more diverse and widespread activities, including marine, cultural, artistic, entertainment and other activities, distributed over 9 main event zones, namely: Jeddah Art Promenade; Cirque du Soleil; Jeddah Yacht Club; Jeddah Al-Balad; Jeddah Pier; Jeddah Jungle; Jeddah Superdome; Prince Majid Park and City Walk, covering various parts of the city of Jeddah, meeting various desires and suitable for all ages, to form an exceptional state of joy and happiness for the people of Jeddah and its visitors during the happy Eid Al-Fitr. The Season activities will last for two months. In his statement on the occasion of the start of 2022 Jeddah season, Qumsani explained that Jeddah Art Promenade, which witnesses the start of the season, is one of the 9 event zones, and coincides with the opening of Cirque du Soleil zone, which started interesting international shows on the first day of Eid, and the remaining of the season's event zones will be gradually opened during the coming days, until the completion of the opening of all zones on May 17th. In the context of his speech, the Director General of Jeddah Season 2022 called on the people and visitors of Jeddah to visit the event zones and enjoy the offers presented, stressing that they work day and night to make them happy, and to meet their needs, through integration with various partners, so that Jeddah Season 2022 is exceptional in terms of numbers and the size of the events.
