Jordanian Prime Minister Meets with Speaker of Saudi Shura Council

The Prime Minister of Jordan, Dr. Bisher Al-Khasawneh, has affirmed the depth of the close historical relations that unite the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Jordan, pointing out that these relations enjoy the attention and care of King Abdullah II and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
This came during his meeting here today with the Speaker of the Saudi Shura Council, Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammad bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, and the accompanying delegation, within the framework of the visit that the Speaker of the Shura Council, at the invitation of the Speaker of the Senate of Jordan.
Dr. Al-Khasawneh expressed his country's pride in the strong relations between the two countries, stressing Jordan's solidarity and standing by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia against any aggression targeting its security and stability, stressing that the Saudi security is an integral part of Jordan's security.
During the meeting, the Jordanian Prime Minister noted the pioneering development projects and plans that Saudi Arabia is witnessing, foremost of which is the NEOM project, which comes within the framework of the 2030 development vision adopted by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince, stressing that the extension of the project between Saudi Arabia, Jordan and Egypt would attract more investments that will benefit the three countries and their peoples.
For his part, Speaker of the Shura Council stressed the strong brotherly relations and ties that bind the two countries and their two brotherly peoples, pointing out that the Shura Council in Saudi Arabia, under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince is keen to strengthen work and joint bilateral cooperation between the Shura Council and Jordanian Parliament to push for further development and economic, investment and trade cooperation between the two countries.
Dr. Al Al-Sheikh stressed the importance of strengthening areas of cooperation between the two countries in various fields and facilitating procedures to increase opportunities for constructive cooperation in these areas, stressing the importance of making more efforts to enhance parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Jordanian Parliament and activating the role of the joint parliamentary friendship committees to achieve the interests of the two countries.
