The Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States (ABEGS) has participated in the 41st General Conference of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which was held in Paris, in the presence of the Ministers of Education, Ministers of Culture and a number of international organizations. Director General of ABEGS Dr. Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al-Asmi, delivered a speech where he pointed to the losses caused by the COVID-19 crisis in all sectors, including education, and the resulting rapid digital transformation in the human history, which prompted governments and international companies in the field of digital production to accelerate reducing the disasters caused by the COVID-19. In conclusion of his speech, Dr. Al-Asmi affirmed that ABEGS looks forward to a greater role for organizations in supporting UNESCO's medium-term strategy for 2022–2029, and broader cooperation with the International Institute for Educational Statistics, the International Bureau of Education, and specialized bodies concerned with education.
