His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense has made an additional donation of SR10 million to the National Platform for Charitable Work (Ehsan), as an extension of his previous donation to the platform last Ramadan, and out of his keenness to support and empower the Charitable work sector, and the platform, with His Highness' donation, reached a total of SR1 billion in donations.
Reaching the SR1billion mark, Ehsan enters a new stage after reaching this record support, while continuing to achieve its goals in developing the charitable sector and contributing to meeting the needs of the beneficiaries of its services.
Ehsan platform is supervised by The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), which has enabled it technically since its launch 5 months ago, initiating its launch with SR30 million donation from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH Crown Prince.
On this occasion, SDAIA president, Dr. Abdullah bin Sharaf Al-Ghamdi, has expressed his appreciation for the Support of HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the Crown Prince, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SDAIA, for the various initiatives and programs launched by the platform, to harness artificial intelligence in launching and enabling solutions that are in the interest of the charitable sector. Dr. Al-Ghamdi also added that "the success that the Ehsan platform has achieved in record time is a result of HRH Crown Prince's continuous empowerment of all areas that serve the needy, and this is what the platform is keen to continue achieving through its services based on studying the reality of the needs of the charitable sector, and reaching one billion riyals of donations is the biggest catalyst for the platform to continue its work, which contributed to ensuring speed, reliability, and transparency for donors."
HR Highness' gesture is an extension of the Crown Prince's record of charitable and humanitarian donations, including his donations for the benefit of servicemen on the line of duty and their families, prisoners of financial claims, the insolvent, and those who are seeking marriage. His Highness also supported the housing sector and the various mosques development initiative, which contributed to strengthening social stability and securing the requirements of the neediest groups.
The donation of HRH Crown Prince to the neediest groups through the Ehsan platform reflects an interest in the values and advantages that the platform confers on charitable work by facilitating and accelerating the arrival of donations to those who deserve them, thus enhancing the Kingdom's pioneering role in charitable work and its globally prestigious position in the charitable sector.
Ehsan platform is the first national platform to receive such amount of donations in record time, which marked an ambitious beginning towards maximizing the impact of the charitable work sector, through a stage that brought about a qualitative leap for the donation process and raised its efficiency, and in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, which sets among its objectives raising the contribution of the non-profit sector to the gross domestic product, thus contribute to the prosperity of the charitable sector, and benefit the entire community.
