Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Ranks 3rd Globally and 1st in Arab World Among Major Donors of Humanitarian Aid

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Bilad Newspaper reported in its editorial that the success made by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in confronting the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) coincided with its charitable initiatives in support of more than 34 countries to mitigate the effects of the pandemic and its repercussions.
Saudi Arabia has also provided aid to countries stricken by natural disasters within the framework of its unremitting assistance to all the countries and the needy people everywhere, the paper wrote.
Upon the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Arabia provided aid, medical and preventive supplies for many countries to confront the Coronavirus, curb its spread and meet the needs of their health sectors, the paper added.
Saudi Arabia has allocated about one billion dollars to support African countries in overcoming the economic repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic, the paper further added.
Saudi Arabia has ranked 3rd globally and 1st in the Arab world among the major donors of humanitarian aid to countries in the world, in addition to being the biggest supporter for Yemen, the paper concluded.
Al-Yaum Newspaper reported in its editorial that it is widely known that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia provides humanitarian and relief support for all countries experiencing difficult conditions, in addition to its keenness on regional and international stability.
In this regard, A Saudi aircraft laden with 2,000 cylinders of medical oxygen left yesterday King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, heading to Tunisia, the paper said.
This comes in implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdullaziz Al Saud.
These medical aid are representing the first batch of oxygen and its supplies provided by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSRelief) to contribute to meeting the needs of the Tunisian health sector in order to overcome the impacts of the coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), the paper further added.
Such aid comes as an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's firm approach since its inception until this prosperous era being led the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH Crown Prince, the paper concluded.
Al-Riyadh Newspaper reported in its editorial that a new phase in the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman for achieving a growing partnership and opening new horizons of joint cooperation between the two sides at various levels.
The visit of the Saudi delegation to the Sultanate came after the historic visit made by Sultan Haitham bin Tariq to the Saudi Arabia, which witnessed signing of a memorandum of understanding regarding the establishment of the Saudi-Omani Coordination Council, the paper said .
In an effort to enhance and expand the base of economic relations and mutual investments between the two countries, the Minister of Investment, Eng. Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, headed an investment delegation during the past days, which witnessed the participation of a number of officials in government agencies, in addition to a group of businessmen in the private sector and representatives of a group of entrepreneurial companies to discuss the prospects for joint action, as well as promising potentials and opportunities, the paper added.
These efforts came to accelerate trade and investment relations between the two countries, along with the mechanisms and requirements for promoting intra-trade and accelerating economic integration between them, the paper further added.
This convergence of views witnessed holding of many bilateral meetings, dialogue sessions and field visits, which included a number of economic zones and free cities, during which various commercial deals and memoranda of understanding were concluded, the paper concluded.
