Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad Newspaper reported its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is seeking to achieve the goals of its vision 2030 and its qualitative initiatives. In this regard, the largest technical event in the Middle East and North Africa has been launched to meet the aspirations of creators, innovators and those interested in programming and technical innovations, the paper said. The event included 3 major programs in the field of technology and artificial intelligence (AI), the first of which is the "Himma, the largest technical program at a total value of SAR 2.5 billion. It aims to boost the technology market with more than 20 products and support the beginners and professional entrepreneurs, while the other two programs are "Qimma" and "Tuwaiq". The first project of Tuwaiq is Sadaya Academy, which will train young people and build capacities in the field of AI, the paper added. The Kingdom has a digital infrastructure, covering more than 90% of the Internet of Things, as it is the first in the Middle East and the telecommunications market in the Kingdom is the most developed and largest market in the Middle East and North Africa, where the size of the telecommunications market in the Kingdom was estimated at SR 70 billion and information technology market at SR 64 billion, the paper concluded. Al-Riyadh Newspaper reported in its editorial that the Zakat and Tax and Customs Authority launched FATOORAH project in a ceremony included a number of agencies participating in activating this national project. FATOORAH project will effectively contribute to limit many of social and economic negatives that the community has suffered in the past years, the paper said. FATOORAH project is seen as one of the most prominent national ambitious projects, as it comes as an extension of various digital projects set by Vision 2030 in order to promote the desired digital transformation, the paper added. FATOORAH project will contribute to reduce amount of papers using for documentation, storing information and issuing handwritten invoices, or invoices issued manually through text editing software, the paper further added . The project would be positive and would limit the phenomenon of commercial concealment and the hidden economy, the paper concluded.
