Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Donates $3 Million for GPE Strategic Plan

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues on local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, announced the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's donation of $3 million to support the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) strategic plan 2025, which confirms the Kingdom's interest in education at all levels.
Saudi Arabia successfully overcame the obstacles that the education has witnessed due to COVID-19 pandemic and set new strategies commensurate with the surrounding circumstances and their requirements, the paper added.
GPE aims to improve access to equitable, inclusive education, bridge educational and digital gaps and address all forms of educational inequality, especially in low income countries, all of which are in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, the paper further added.
Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia always provides humanitarian, health and economic aid to all affected countries around the world to find a way out of their crises.
In this regard, Saudi aid to Malaysia comes as an implementation of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and confirmation of his keenness on whatever maintains human health everywhere in the world, the paper added. This Aid reflects the Saudi leadership's unremitting support for relief works, the paper further added.
Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that the President of the Human Rights Commission (HRC) and Chairman of the National Committee to Combat Human Trafficking (NCCHT), Dr. Awwad bin Saleh Al-Awwad reiterated that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen on protecting and promoting human rights.
Saudi Arabia is largely concerned with criminalizing and combating trafficking in persons through a set of procedures and measures to ensure human dignity and protect it from all forms of abuse and exploitation, the paper added.
Al-Awwad said on the occasion of the World Day against Trafficking in Persons 2021, that the Kingdom, under the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the supervision of HRH Prince Mohammad bin Salman, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Defense, has made great progress in the classifications and indicators of combating trafficking in persons, by exerting continuous efforts to combat human trafficking crimes through several measures, the paper further added.
