The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Dr. Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen, participated today in the second extraordinary session of the Ministerial Council of OIC for Women Development, hosted by the Egyptian capital, Cairo. In a key address, Dr. Al-Othaimeen expressed deep appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the current president of the Islamic Summit, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince, for their generous care and continuous support for OIC, enabling it to carry out its work. He also praised the role of Egypt, under the leadership of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, for the generous initiative to host and hold the second extraordinary session of the Ministerial Council of the Organization for Women Development, confirming the strong interest Egypt attached to the issues of women's advancement and empowerment in all fields, in addition to the effective role Egypt plays in supporting OIC in preserving women's rights and enhancing their role in development in its member states.
