Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Supports Measures to Enhance Global Security
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 29 - 06 - 2021

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the history of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is full of many great positions, in which it supported international security and peace, confirming that its stability is integral part of the stability of the world.
In this regard, Saudi Arabia has spared no effort to support the measures that would enhance the global security, editorial said.
Since King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud signed the Charter of the United Nations in 1945, Saud Arabia has been seeking to implement it precisely on the ground, in addition to supporting the organization and its affiliated agencies, as it constitutes a framework for cooperation between nations and peoples, an important platform for communication and understanding and an effective means for settling disputes and resolving crises, editorial affirmed .
Over the past 76 years, Riyadh has been working to enhance the harmony and consensus among the peoples of the world, affirming its strictly adheres to international conventions and treaties, along with its unremitting support for UN noble mission and its development, humanitarian and relief projects through its agencies around the world, editorial added.
Since its signing the UN Charter, Saudi Arabia has made unprecedented achievements with this organization, as the world is witnessing today the anniversary of its joining the UN, editorial further added.
Saudi Arabia has sought to make the peoples in the world live in security and stability as it took initiatives such as reconciliation between Pakistan and Afghanistan in Makkah earlier this month, hosting reconciliation meetings between the countries of Ethiopia and Eritrea and holding a meeting of the Somalis , which resulted in a peace agreement between the parties and an end to the devastating civil war there, editorial concluded.
In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that there are Arab and Islamic condemnations of terrorist Houthi militia's attacks on south of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by ballistic missiles targeting civilians and civilian objects.
Such attacks reflect Houthi militia's blatant defiance of the international community, its disregard for all international laws and norms and rejection of all endeavors aimed at bringing peace to Yemen, the paper said.
The condemnations are supposed to be backed by decisive stance from the international community to stop the Houthi militia s' repeated terrorist attacks that target vital and civilian facilities and threaten global energy sources, the paper added .
The crimes and attacks being carried out by Iran's terrorist arms are linked to the behavior of the Tehran regime and its acts in the region which always threatens its security and stability and international trade and the global economy, the paper further added .
The defense forces in the Kingdom always intercept the terrorist attacks successfully, as it exerted great efforts to reach a political solution and a comprehensive peace in Yemen, the paper concluded.
