Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Bilad and Al-Riyadh newspapers reported in their editorials that the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia moves forward in its war against corruption and achieves remarkable progress in this fight. His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, has considered this this scourge (corruption) an enemy that is endangering development and prosperity, adding that it is also the reason behind losing a number of great opportunities for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. HRH the Crown Prince added that whoever is involved in corruption cases, regardless of his social status, will face punishment. In this regard, the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority (Nazaha) has recently made an announcement about 16 corruption cases, whereas the first instance ruling convicting a Royal Highnesses for being involved in one of the corruption cases. This announcement by Nazaha comes to affirm the statements of HRH the Crown Prince, the newspapers concluded. In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that Yemen's Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed bin Mubarak said that his country's war is continuing as a result of the continued Iranian military support to the terrorist Houthi militia. This came during a virtual meeting with the U.S. Special Envoy for Iran, Robert Malley. The Yemeni minister also said that Iran has played a role in recent years in undermining the security and stability of Yemen and the entire Arab region using its Houthi proxy, adding that the continued Iranian support to the Houthi militia is hindering all efforts to achieve peace and stability in Yemen. "Iran is not only destroying Yemen and exacerbating its humanitarian crisis, but is turning Yemen's territories to a place for extorting neighboring counties and threatening global security and peace," the minister further added according to Yemen News Agency (SABA). Meanwhile, Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that the development plan for the education system in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia that was announced recently by the Ministry of Education came to cope with the Saudi ambitions and towards building a vibrant society that is capable of keeping pace with the accelerating changes in the world. The newspaper added that the development of curricula and educational plans, including dividing the new academic year into three semesters and adding new subjects, will have an impact on raising the quality of educational outcomes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The newspaper concluded that the Ministry of Education focuses on developing human capabilities, through its endeavor to enhance skills and develop knowledge, by providing a strong educational system that prepares all students for the future labor market.
