Saudi Press: Saudi Arabia Participates in Venice Biennale of Architecture

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is distinguished by its culture and heritage, as the Saudi culture's roots go back to the oldest civilizations. Additionally, the culture of Saudi Arabia is a rich one that has been shaped by its Islamic heritage and its historical role as an ancient trade center.
The newspaper added that the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030 made promoting culture as a way of life. Moreover, the role of the Saudi culture is evident through the numerous Saudi participations in different local, regional and international events, since these participations highlight Saudi Arabia's great culture and heritage, affirming the depth of its civilization.
In this regard, the newspaper pointed to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in the 17th edition of the Venice Biennale of Architecture. The Saudi Pavilion at Venice Biennale of Architecture is a destination for research and exploration, in addition to its role in supporting and celebrating the undergoing artistic and creative development in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The newspaper also pointed to Prince Badr bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, speech during the inauguration of the Saudi Pavilion, in which he noted the pivotal role of art in "creating better opportunities for dialogue, broadening perceptions, and opening new realms for communication, especially during this difficult time of COVID-19 pandemic."
Such important cultural events shed light on the role of culture in strengthening communication and coexistence among peoples, the newspaper concluded.
In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper said in its editorial that during the current stage, the social responsibility is highly relied on to continue progressing in facing the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, everyone must adhere to precautionary measures and preventive procedures, especially after the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's tremendous successes in mitigating the pandemic's impact and repercussions.
The newspaper further said that Saudi Arabia observes a steady decline in the curve of confirmed infections and that 75 percent of recently detected cases resulted from family-held social occasions, according to the Ministry of Health.
The newspaper concluded by pointing to the statement of the Ministry of Interior regarding immunization, as COVID-19 immunization became mandatory for anyone wanting to attend any social, economic, commercial, cultural, scientific, entertainment or sports event starting from Sunday, August 01, 2021, in order to prevent the spread of the infection.
