The International Coalition of Medicines Regulatory Authorities (ICMRA) held, virtually, its mid-year meeting, in the presence of Executive Chairman of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Hisham bin Saad Al-Jedaie, and the heads of medicines regulatory authorities around the world. During the meeting, the working groups that had been established in a number of specialized fields since the beginning of the ICMRA were introduced. These groups aim to strengthen dialogue and exchange reliable scientific information, share regulatory work and transfer experiences among the ICMRA members. An overview of the tasks of these groups and their strategic plans, projects and achievements was also presented. The meeting revealed an increase in the publishing and the number of media coverage globally among the ICMRA member states. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia topped the list of the countries with the highest number of published articles, followed by Italy then the United States of America.
