The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance, represented by the Religious Attaché at the Kingdom's Embassy in Pretoria in South Africa, has launched the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Iftar Program for the South African Muslims on the occasion of this Year's Ramadan in accordance with the health protocols to prevent Coronavirus. The initiative is part of the King Salman Iftar program, which is being implemented in a number of countries under the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques including South Africa where 3,100 food baskets will be distributed to for the benefit of more than 25,000 Muslims. The launch was attended by Ali bin Hammoud Al-Shehri, Saudi embassy's Acting Chargé d'Affairs; Brigadier-General Khaled bin Hamdan Al-Ghamdi, Saudi the embassy's military attaché; Shaheen Essop, President of the South African Hajj and Umrah Council, and Hasan Shonar, Director of the Humanitarian Affairs Agency for Muslims in Africa.
