CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham bin Saad Al-Jadhey affirmed that the compliance rate of the imported Russian products with the technical regulations and specifications reached 99.8% in 2020, as the total Russian food imports to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia increased by more than 25%. This came during the participation of the SFDA in a meeting held virtually on 5 April, 2021 with the business mission for Russian companies exporting products of the Agro-Industrial Complex to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in response to the invitation of Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin. With the participation of the SFDA; the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and the relevant Russian and Saudi companies, the meeting discussed the development of the agricultural and food trade between the two countries.
