The Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, said that the Houthi militia's systematic terrorist acts against international shipping lanes and vital energy installations in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are a serious and destabilizing threat to the security and stability of the region and the world. He called on the international community to exert maximum pressure on the Iran-backed Houthi militia to stop the military escalation, according to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba). In the Ministerial Meeting of the Arab-Japan Political Dialogue, which was held virtually today, Mubarak indicated that the military escalation of the Houthi militia and their attacks on civilian areas in Yemen and the Kingdom comes in response to the Yemeni government's response to the calls of the international community to stop the war, the latest of which was the Saudi initiative to end the war.
