The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance has carried out 21,350 inspection tours during the eighth week of following up the implementation of precautionary measures and health protocols adopted by the Ministry in coordination with competent authorities to prevent the spread of the Coronavirus in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. According to a report issued today by the Ministry's Agency for Mosques Affairs, the total inspection tours that the Ministry has carried out until the eighth week reached 167,848 tours in order to achieve the highest standards of safety in the mosques of Saudi Arabia. The report indicated that the ministry detected 204 violations of preventive measures, which were immediately addressed, noting that violations that were detected varied between not wearing face masks and not bringing personal prayer rugs, in addition to not implementing physical distancing. The ministry has also reported lax in implementing preventive and precautionary measures in 1,529 mosques in Saudi Arabia and immediate procedures were implemented to address these issues. The Ministry called upon everyone to call Beneficiaries Service Center 1933 and report violations of precautionary measures in mosques.
