The Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI), which is fully owned by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), concluded its successful participation in the International Defence Exhibition and Conference (IDEX), for the year of 2021, which was held in Abu Dhabi, UAE. During the 5-day exhibition, SAMI signed a number of cooperation agreements with international companies and government agencies. SAMI pavilion was visited by the Governor of the General Authority for Military Industries, Eng. Ahmed bin Abdulaziz Al-Ohali, Saudi Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Turki bin Abdullah Al-Dakhil and a number of Saudi officials. The pavilion also received Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al-Nahyan and the UAE Minister Foreign and International Cooperation Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. On this occasion, the CEO of SAMI, Eng. Walid bin Abdulmajeed Abu Khaled, said: "We are pleased to achieve outstanding success through our participation in IDEX 2021, which will lead us to achieve new achievements within our efforts to make the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia one of the leaders in the manufacture of military systems in the world." During the exhibition, SAMI demonstrated innovative military products and comprehensive defense systems in its main business sectors, which are ground systems, air systems, defense electronics, weapons and missiles, and modern technologies.
