The General Court of Audit (GCA), represented by Assistant Vice-President for Financial Audit Yahya Al-Hasani and a group of GCA's specialists, participated via teleconference today in the meeting on the audit of contingent expenditures. The meeting was organized by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) Development Initiative (IDI) and in association with the Arab Organization for Supreme Audit Institutions (ARABOSAI). The meeting discussed a number of subjects on its agenda that aim to promote accountability on using contingent expenditures to fight COVID-19 Pandemic and exchange of expertise and the lesson learned on promoting the role of SAIs in auditing the contingent expenditures and accountability. The meeting witnessed the participation of representatives of SAIs from ARABOSAI Region, World Bank, and the International Monetary Fund. It is worth mentioning that GCA is holding the position of the Second Vice President of ARABOSAI in addition to the position of the Second Vice-chairman of INTOSAI, Chairman of INTOSAI's Policy, Finance, and Administrative Committee, and co-chair of the INTOSAI-Donor Steering Committee.
