Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh and Al-Yaum newspapers reported in their editorials that Saudi Chambers of Commerce and Industry play vital role in promoting the activities of the private sector, which the Saudi economy depends on for its growth, development and setting its future policy. The papers said that for further progress, the Cabinet approved new regulation of chambers of commerce. The papers added that such regulation would effectively contribute to develop the Chamber's performance through indices to measure performance and upgrading efficiency in accordance with international best practices. The papers further added that this great step would also contribute to strengthen strategic partnerships for developing the economic activities in all regions in the Kingdom and encouraging young people to practice commercial and industrial activities. The papers concluded that the new regulation of chambers of commerce comes, as Saudi Arabia is witnessing an important economic stage, in addition to a comprehensive transformation process included by its vision 2030. In another context, Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia presents its rich experience and model in consolidating the blessing of security and stability with high efficiency and deserve, according to international indices. In this regard, the paper added that the international indices related to security announced in their global competitiveness and sustainable development reports that Saudi Arabia came at the first of G20 countries and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council. The paper concluded that reports included the population's feeling of safety while walking alone at night and the index of citizens' confidence in police services, and the index of controlling organized crime.
