Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Yaum newspaper reported in its editorial that after intensive and a whole slew of precautionary and preventive measures due to COVID-19 Pandemic that has spread the entire world, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced the cautious stages of return to practice the normal life in all sectors. The paper added that such unprecedented progress has been made was based on unremitting efforts being exerted by wise leadership to keep the health and safety of citizens and resident as well. The paper concluded that after January 1, 2021, we will witness another progress as the stage of lifting restrictions on citizens leaving the Kingdom and returning to it, in addition to reopening the land, sea and air ports, early announced by the Ministry of Interior. Al-Bilad newspaper reported in its editorial that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has achieved remarkable success in confronting the Novel Coronavirus Pandemic at all levels. The paper added that the great success has been achieved by unremitting support, provided by the wise leadership to keep the health and safety of citizens and residents. The paper added that the Ministry of Health has made considerable efforts in raising awareness, educating, treating infections , providing isolation centers equipped with all medical and health services ,in addition to carrying out active medical tests in the neighborhoods with making use of digital services. In another context, Okaz newspaper reported in its editorial that on Wednesday, UAE People and their brothers in GCC countries and Arab world are celebrating the 49th anniversary of the establishment of the UAE federation on December 2, 1971. The paper added that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia‘s jubilation of this occasion confirmed strong relations between the two countries at all fields, in addition to their convergent views towards many issues at all levels. The paper further added that Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates are working through many policies and initiatives to maintain stability and security in the Arab Gulf region The paper concluded that Saudi Arabia and UAE have constructive and fruitful cooperation in dealing with the challenges such as extremism and terrorism and its proxies along with facing foreign interference in the countries of the region.
