King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) has obtained the University-Industry Demonstration Partnership (UIDP) membership as the first entity in the Middle East to obtain this membership. The UIDP brings together international institutions from universities and companies to discuss key issues affecting university-industry relations and to explore opportunities and innovative methods of partnership and cooperation. President of KAUST Dr. Tony F Chan said that UIDP highlights operational and strategic issues that can improve partnerships and enhance cooperation across different sectors, as well as produce tools and resources to help members make a greater impact. UIDP President Anthony M. Boccanfuso welcomed KAUST to the UIDP which includes top-tier research universities from around the world and leading multinational companies across all sectors. He added that KAUST's membership allows UIDP to continue to grow to meet members' needs strategically.
