U.S. stocks fell sharply Tuesday, The Dow Jones industrial average fell 632.42, or 2.25 percent, to 27,500.89. The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index fell 95.12, or 2.8 percent, to 3,331.84. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 465.44, or 4.1 percent, to 10,847.69.
