The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired here today the Cabinet's virtual session. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques thanked the leaders of Arab, Islamic and brotherly countries who expressed their wishes for his health and citizens for their sincere and good feelings, for the success of his surgery and discharge from hospital, also cabinet members congratulated the King and on this occasion, and wished him constant good health. The Cabinet praised the preventive health measures during this year's Hajj, and that the decision to reduce the number of pilgrims received Islamic and international praise and appreciation. Furthermore, the Kingdom's ability and standards to manage and regulate the performance of Hajj in all circumstances demonstrate its ability to operate Hajj under any circumstances. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, Minister of State and Acting Minister of Media Dr. Issam bin Saad bin Saeid stated that the cabinet reviewed a number of reports related to the Coronavirus pandemic and its developments at the preventive and therapeutic levels. The Cabinet also reviewed the latest statistics of cases recorded in the Kingdom as well as the health care provided to them in light of the stability of critical cases and infections in addition to the increase of the recovered cases, affirming the importance of continuing to monitor and follow-up all developments and expand the tests in various regions via the specialized laboratories in line with the highest quality in addition to the findings of the latest clinical trials, local and international research, and in cooperation with the World Health Organization, the results of vaccines and their effectiveness and safety. The Cabinet praised the directives of the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques to stand by the brothers in Lebanon by offering aid and assistance after the Beirut port blast, by running an airlift by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief) to provide assistance to the suffering people of Lebanon to face the effects of this painful disaster. -- More 01:33 LOCAL TIME 22:33 GMT 0026 www.spa.gov.sa/2123179
