Minister of Public Health and Population of Yemen, Dr. Nasser Muhsin Ba'oom, highly appreciated the organization by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in partnership with the United Nations, of the Donors' Conference for Yemen 2020 virtually on Tuesday. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency, SPA, he praised the generous support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia over the past years to the health sector in his country, pointing to the difficult challenges resulting from the deterioration of the health situation after the war caused by the Houthi coup militia and the great destruction and damage it caused to the sector and health institutions, which made it lose the ability to face the current challenges represented by the spread of many deadly epidemics, foremost of which is Covid-19. He called on all donor organizations and countries to support Yemen, and start supporting the health sector within the urgent humanitarian response plan, to raise the sector's ability and enable it to face the existing challenges, and to provide hospitals, qualified medical cadres and medical equipment and supplies..
