In line with the government's efforts to confront the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Saudi Organization for Certified Public Accountants (SOCPA) has launched a package of initiatives to alleviate economic and financial implications facing the official accounting and auditing community. The initiatives included: First: Postponing the payment of annual subscriptions for accounting and auditing offices and companies until the end of 2020. Second: Hours for continuing professional education are not required for 2020. Third: Suspension of the membership guidelines related to write-off and suspension of membership, with regard to non-commitment of payment and continuing professional education points until the end of 2020. Fourth: Extending the period of submitting the annual information of the accounting and auditing offices and companies until the end of the curfew period.
