The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen: Execution of A Military Operation Targeting Legitimate Military Targets of the Terrorist Iran-Backed Houthi militia in Response to Ballistic Threats, Gross Violations Against
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 30 - 03 - 2020

Statement by the Official Spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen COL Turki Al-Malki:
"Following up the press release by the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition regarding aggressions of the terrorist Houthi militia against civilians, nationals and expats, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Saturday 28 March 2020, which reflect the villainous, savage nature of the terrorist militia and the ones sponsoring it, and gross violations of the International Humanitarian Law, especially under current international efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak, and in continuation of the responsibility to protect civilian nationals and expats in the Kingdom, and in response to the ballistic missile threat, the Joint Forces Command of the Coalition has conducted a military operation to neutralize and destroy "legitimate military targets" of the terrorist Houthi militia in accordance with customary International Humanitarian Law to confront ongoing and imminent threats.
The targets that were destroyed include advanced capabilities of the terrorist militia, storage, assembly and installation sites of ballistic missiles and UAVs, locations of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) experts, and weapons depots. The military targets were laid out across several terrorist militia-controlled governorates, including Hodeida governorate, after the Houthi militia used it as a missile storage location, and creation of new weapons depots, and further enhancement of combat capabilities through reinforcements and introduction of military equipment, which violates the Hodeida ceasefire and the (Stockholm) Agreement. All precautionary measures to protect civilians were taken following the Houthi militia's use of residential areas as military locations and civilians as human shields.
In this time of international unity and solidarity to combat the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Iranian regime confirms with its continuous support to its terrorist proxy in Yemen and sponsorship of hostile and terrorist acts that the regime stands with aggressions and destruction while the entire world stands collectively on the other side of that scale. The Iranian regime is concentrating all financial, man and logistic powers to support the terrorist militia to realize its ideals and expansionist ambitions on the account of the Iranian people who are suffering in this hectic time, losing their lives to the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak.
The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will continue to implement all necessary and rigorous measures to handle such threats and violations in a manner that guarantees the safety of nationals and expats living on our land."
