The Council of Saudi Chambers (CSC) and Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry have signed a trade cooperation agreement consisting of seven items to improve bilateral economic relations. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the Saudi Council delegation's visit to the Republic of Cyprus. The agreement was co-signed by CSC Vice Chairman Muneer bin Saad and President of Cyprus Chamber of Commerce Christodoulos Angastiniotis, in the presence of CSC Acting Secretary General Hussain Al Abdulkader and Saudi Ambassador to Cyprus Khaled Al-Sharif. The agreement aims to promote partnership opportunities between investors in the two countries. CSC Vice Chairman said that the agreement will play a major role in promoting cooperation between the two business communities. He added that the Saudi delegation held a meeting with Cyprus Chamber officials and discussed means of cooperation between the two countries in finance, tourism, contracting, and maritime transport sectors. The agreement includes exchanging information on latest investment opportunities in the two countries to promote bilateral investment, increasing business delegations and exhibitions, and assisting businessmen in settling disputes via arbitration. It also includes promoting joint ventures between the two business communities.
