U.S. stocks fell sharply Monday, with the three major indexes each losing more than 3 percent. The Dow Jones industrial average fell 1,031, or 3.6 percent, to 27,961.01, its biggest point drop since February 2018. The broader Standard & Poor's' 500 index fell 111.85, or 3.35 percent, to 3,225.90, its worst day since October 2018. The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index fell 355.31, or 3.7 percent, to 9,221.28.
