Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs has announced that the first edition of the Municipal Investment Forum "Forus 2020" will be launched during the period from 24 to 26 February, 2020 at Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs for Planning and Programs, Eng. Khaled Aldegaither, stated that this forum aims to expand competitors segment on investment opportunities being provided by the kingdom's municipalities, adding that the forum will be a new platform to connect with investors and provide the private sector with information on initiatives which aim to develop investment in municipalities sector in line with the Kingdom's Vision 2030. Eng. Aldegaither also said that the forum will include 28 workshops with the participation of 63 speakers to present the role of municipality's investment in developing cities and to shed light on the effective method that will increase the contribution of the municipality's investment to the development of cities. The forum will also include an exhibition where the kingdom's municipalities will present more than 5000 different investment opportunities, which will increase the quality of life in Saudi Arabia's cities and achieve the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision 2030. It is worth noting that the ministry has previously launched the unified electronic platform for investment opportunities of municipal sector "Forus" in April, 2018, which aims to expand competitors segment on investment opportunities in Municipalities.
