Ministry of Culture Signs Memorandums of Cooperation with Ministry of Education and TVTC

The Ministry of Culture signed here today two memoranda of cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
The two memoranda aim to promote the educational and cultural programs and activities in the sector of education and create practical paths for culture and arts in the fields of technical and vocational training in order to provide an educational environment incubating national talents in various creative fields.
The memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Education was co-signed by Prince Bader bin Abdullah bin Farhan, Minister of Culture, and Dr. Hamad bin Mohammed Al Al-Sheikh, Minister of Education.
The memorandum of cooperation between the Ministry of Culture and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) was co-signed by Hamid bin Mohammed Fayez, Deputy Minister of Culture, and Dr. Ahmad bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid, Governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
The memorandum of cooperation between the Ministries of Culture and Education includes aspects of joint cooperation in the field of education. The two sides agreed to conduct an integrated study dealing with the promotion and inclusion of the sixteen cultural sectors in the public and higher education, activation of the initiatives emanating from them and implementation of the outcomes and recommendations of the study. The two ministries will coordinate and cooperate in implementing the outcomes and recommendations of the national culture strategy in addition to update the relevant laws and regulations as well as to develop the capabilities of workers in the fields of education related to the sixteen cultural sectors. They will activate the facilities of the Ministry of Education to implement the cultural activities.
The memorandum also includes the cooperation of the Ministries of Culture and Education in implementing and facilitating licensing and permitting procedures for the educational, enrichment and extracurricular programs and activities related to the sixteen cultural sectors in schools, universities, colleges and governmental and private institutes. The two ministries will enhance cooperation in developing and expanding specializations in the sixteen cultural sectors in universities, colleges and governmental and private institutes.
The memorandum also seeks to consolidate cooperation in the field of scholarship for specializations in the sixteen cultural sectors, to attract foreign universities and colleges and to facilitate the issuance of the necessary permits for their establishment with the local and international partners and shareholders.
Meanwhile, the memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Culture and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) focuses on cooperation in the fields of training. The two sides agreed to conduct an integrated study dealing with the promotion and inclusion of the sixteen cultural sectors in training. The two sides will exchange information that enhances and develops the work and programs of the Ministry of Culture and the TVTC. They will cooperate to facilitate the licensing procedures for the private training institutions related to the sixteen cultural sectors.
