The Sudanese Minister of Finance, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Badawi, has received a written letter stating the approval of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Fund for Development to allocate two loans to finance projects in the health and education sectors in Sudan, amounting to SR 487.5 million (243.75 million each). The Sudanese Minister of Finance, after receiving at his office in the ministry today, the Saudi ambassador to Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jafar, said that the funding comes at a crucial stage for the development of the economy, in addition to the importance of its timing coinciding with the preparation of the budget for 2020. The Sudanese minister praised the Kingdom's efforts to enhance economic cooperation with Sudan. Ambassador Jafar said that the kingdom is keen to support Sudan and its government. He highlighted the level of deep-rooted relations and the common history linking the two brotherly countries, stressing the kingdom's keenness to support development efforts in Sudan and increase joint coordination in various fields and cooperation in the interest of the two brotherly countries. He stated the determination of the Saudi private sector to increase its investments in Sudan and to strengthen the distinguished brotherly ties and common history between the two countries.
