His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense witnessed here today, the launching of the opening round of the second session of the FIA ABB Formula E Championship, for electric cars, in Diriyah, organized by the International Automobile Federation, at the outset of the Diriyah Season activities. Upon HRH Crown Prince to the race track, the Saudi national anthem was played, in the presence of Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Deputy Supreme Commander and the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain and Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of the King of Bahrain for Charity Works and Youth Affairs. Then, the first round of the FIA ABB Formula E Championship of electric cars started. The launching of the Championship opening round was attended also by Italian Former Prime Minister Matteo Renzi; Emirates Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Shaikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Sabah of Kuwait; Shaikh Fahad bin Nasser Al-Sabah, the Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee; Speaker of Kuwaiti National Assembly Marzouq bin Ali Al-Ghanim and other senior officials from different countries.
