The Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Sudan and the non-resident Ambassador to the Republic of South Sudan Ali bin Hassan Jaffar has handed over the first batch of the Holy Quran, presented by the Kingdom to the Islamic Council of Southern Sudan. This came during as he visited the General Secretariat of the Islamic Council of South Sudan, in Juba. He was received by Advisor to the President of the Republic for Islamic Affairs Sheikh Juma Saeed Ali, Acting Secretary-General Sheikh Abdullah Burj Rawal, Rapporteur of Shura Council Salam Jaber and a number of secretaries of the Council. The President's Advisor for Islamic Affairs praised Saudi Arabia's efforts in providing the council with assistance and supporting religious education. The Holy Qur'an was distributed to Khalawi (Quranic learning traditional schools) and various centers for memorizing the Holy Quran, in the main mosques.
