An official source of the Interior Ministry has said that security bodies in Buraidah were informed at 8.30 pm on Wednesday 17/7/1425 AH that a car went out of a house in Al-Khaleej quarter carrying two women and two armed men. Immediately, two patrols located nearby were directed to proceed to the location in order to investigate the case, and in a short while before the patrols reached the location, they were heavily fired on by another car resulting in the martyrdom of one security person and causing injury to three other security persons. "The incident is still being investigated by the security organs as some suspects were arrested and weapons, ammunition, explosive-substances and explosive-mixtures were also found at the house. A supplementary statement clarifying details and developments will be issued later."
