U.S. stocks rose Wednesday. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 237.45, or 0.9 percent, to 26,355.47.
The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 31.51, or 1.1 percent, to 2,937.78.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 102.72, or 1.3 percent, to 7,976.88.
