King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain here today received Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf who arrived in the Kingdom of Bahrain on an official visit. During the reception, the Foreign Minister conveyed greetings of the Saudi leadership. In turn, the king of Bahrain sent his greetings to the Saudi leadership. The visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom to Bahrain comes as part of the signing ceremony of the Saudi-Bahraini Coordination Council. The Saudi Minister expressed thanks and appreciation to King Hamad for the warm welcome and hospitality accorded to him. He also expressed pride in King Hamad's efforts to strengthen the brotherly Saudi-Bahraini relations. He also lauded Bahrain's authentic stances, under the King's leadership, praising the progress boom and distinguished successes attained by Bahrain in various sectors. King Hamad welcomed the Saudi Minister, and praised the establishment of the Bahraini-Saudi Coordination Council, stressing its importance in enhancing coordination, cooperation and complementarity between the two countries in all fields. Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, received the Minister of Foreign Affairs during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. During the meeting, they stressed the depth of the historical relationship between the two brotherly countries. The minister stressed the Kingdom's keenness to strengthen the bilateral cooperation with the Kingdom of Bahrain to serve the common interests and meet the aspirations of the two countries and the two brotherly peoples. The minister held a bilateral round of talks with his Bahraini counterpart Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Khalifa. During the session, the minutes of the establishment of the Coordinating Council between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of Bahrain was signed. The council will include a number of specialized committees in various political, investment, media, social and other vital areas, to achieve the desired objectives of the establishment of this council.
