Saudi Press: New Beginning for Saudi Culture
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 16 - 07 - 2019

Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas.
Al-Riyadh newspaper said in its editorial entitled ''New Beginning for Saudi Culture'' that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's vision 2030, has announced a new beginning for Saudi culture as one of the most important engines of national transformation towards human development.
The paper added that through its vision 2030, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has developed the cultural sector, established centers for creativity, and provided platforms for creative people to express their ideas and aspirations.
The paper noted that the KSA's vision 2030 included creating of a cultural industry that deals with art, theater, cinema, artistic and formative activities, transforming culture into a key element of communication among people, and developing the infrastructure of the culture and entertainment sector so as to become part of improving the standards of living of Saudi citizens and an important civilized ground for the country.
In another context, Al-Yaum newspaper said in its editorial that as usual every Hajj season, the Qatari regime makes false claims that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia obstructs the entry of Qatari pilgrims to perform their Hajj rituals.
The paper noted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has expressed its warm welcome to Qatari pilgrims, calling on Qatari authorities themselves to remove obstacles they intentionally create against their pilgrims.
The paper affirmed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has totally rejected these obstacles due its extreme keenness on harnessing all means to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from the State of Qatar as similar to facilities being provided for other Muslims wishing to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals from anywhere.
The paper added that the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has totally rejected these false allegations issued by Qatar's Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs that the Kingdom places obstacles to those who wish to visit the holy sites from Qataris or residents in Qatar to perform Hajj and Umrah rituals.
