As great preparations are underway in the Kingdom to host three Gulf, Arab and Islamic summits in Makkah starting May 30, Turki bin Abdullah Al-Shabanah, Minister of Media, is following up the unprecedented preparations tasked to 13 working teams to cope with the important events and facilitate the mission of the global media gathering, including 390 international journalists and media representatives in addition to 59 global channels. The Ministry of Media provides the services for the guests through four media centers and holds a special exhibition at the headquarters of the journalists. The exhibition includes eleven governmental pavilions to highlight the country's achievements and developments. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) to mark the occasion, Dr. Fahd bin Hassan Al-Eqran, Chairman of the Media Committee of the three summits, said that, upon directives of the Minister of Media, great efforts are being exerted to achieve unprecedented media coverage for the global events in Makkah in the presence of 57 presidents during the three summits. A number of the State's officials are scheduled to take part in the live-broadcasting press conferences to be held on the sidelines of the summits together with international and local journalists, channels and news agencies, he added, pointing out that visiting media representatives will have a tour of a number of giant institutions to get-acquainted with the achievements and renaissance achieved in the Kingdom so far.
