The Islamic Republic of Mauritania has welcomed the call by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for holding two emergency summits for leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and another for Arab leaders in Makkah on Thursday 25th of Ramadan 1440 AH, corresponding to May 30, 2019, for the purpose of consultation and coordination on all matters that would enhance security and stability in the region in light of recent attacks on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The Mauritanian Foreign Ministry praised in a statement yesterday the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for unifying the ranks and strengthen the Arab unity in light of delicate situations being experienced by the region.
