The Council of Saudi Chambers received today a Libyan trade delegation including a number of Libyan businessmen and representatives of companies from various sectors to discuss the fields of cooperation and available investment and trade opportunities in both countries. Chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers Dr. Sami bin Abdullah Al-Obaidi welcomed the Libyan trade delegation and expressed hope that the meeting would offer an opportunity to draw a roadmap for developing economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Libya, praising the historical and brotherly relations between the two countries. Citing what he sees as weak trade exchange volume between Riyadh and Tripoli in the past, he expressed hope to see an increasing trade size among the two countries in the near future. During the meeting, they reviewed investment opportunities available in both countries, especially in the infrastructure sector in Libya and the establishment of airports, roads, mining sector and export opportunities in the Libyan market for various types of goods and materials.
