The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by a high-level delegation, participated yesterday in the opening of the Fourth Forum on Financing for Development, organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Council. The delegation was headed by Assistant Minister of Finance for International Financial Affairs and Financial Policies Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed. The Forum sheds light on a number of subjects aimed at achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030, such as emerging economic trends and their impact on the economy such as the climate change, highlighting opportunities and potential gains from tackling these trends, with a focus on accelerating progress towards sustainable development goals and ways to create and embrace new opportunities. It also focuses on inequalities in wages and employment opportunities between men and women, their impact on sustainability, and the role of financial systems in promoting greater equality.
