Saudi Grains Organization has completed measures for its first tender for this year to import 730,000 tons of fodder barley from origins of European Union, Australia, North and South America (excluding Canada) on board 12 ships during the period (May - June 2019). The Governor of Saudi Grains Organization Engineer Ahmad bin Abdulaziz Al-Fares said that the first tender is an extension of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's plan to cover the local demand of fodder barley and preserve its strategic stocks.
