Pakistan to finalize gas pipelines project

Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) gas pipeline, Qatar-Pakistan gas pipeline and Iran-Pakistan-India gas pipeline projects.
The minister said the government would decide in December this year which pipeline was suitable and the priority chart would be presented to the federal cabinet for approval.
About the progress on the $3.2 billion TAP pipeline project, Shakoor said the next meeting of Ministerial Steering Committee would be held in a few weeks.
The proposed 1460-kilometer pipeline would bring gas to Pakistan via Afghanistan from the Dauletabad gas fields in Turkmenistan - the fifth largest in the world.
