Saudi Arabia has opened for the first time the Saudi Pavilion and activities at the Australia National Multicultural Festival held in the Australian Capital during the period of 15-17 February. The pavilion, co-inaugurated by Chris Steel, Australian Minister of Multicultural Affairs and Saudi Ambassador to Australia Musaed bin Ibrahim Al-Saleem, includes a traditional tent where performers from AlJawhara Folklore Band and other Saudi participants exhibit the culture and traditions of Saudi Arabia to international spectators. The Saudi participation also highlighted in its activities the art of Arabic calligraphy, and falconry in addition to showing documentaries on the Kingdom and its vast progress, heritage and ambitions.
