U.S. stocks rose Tuesday. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 173.31, or 0.7 percent, to 25,635.01.
The broader Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 17.19, or 0.6 percent, to 2,755.50.
The technology-heavy Nasdaq composite index rose 47.11, or 0.6 percent, to 7,375.96.
