Number of visas issued for performing Umrah, in the season of 1440 AH has reached as many as 835,910 visas, while the total number of beneficiaries of them, who have arrived in Kingdom stood, at 547,392. On the other hand, the number of Umrah doers, in the Kingdom was 276,372, out of them 185,484 were in Makkah and 90,888 were in Madinah, while 271,020 registered as completing performing Umrah and visiting the Prophet Mosque. This was unfolded, in the weekly Umrah announced Index statistics, launched by the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, at the beginning of the current Hijri year, in order to record four main aspects: Number of Umrah visas issued, the total number of arrivals in the Kingdom, Umrah performance in Makkah and visits to the Prophet Mosque, in Madinah, in addition to the number of pilgrims leaving the Kingdom, following performance of either Umrah or visiting the Prophet Mosque.
