The Council stressed, in a statement, Saudi Arabia's keenness on international peace and security witnessed at international forums and events throughout history, pointing to Saudi Arabia's leading role in combating extremism and terrorism and consolidating the principles of peace and stability in the region and the world. The statement pointed out that this attack targets Saudi Arabia to undermine its role and regional and international standing, and its leadership of the Islamic world, calling on the Islamic nation to stand united against the Saudi Arabia against these malicious and false campaigns. The statement stressed that the targeting of Saudi Arabia is targeting millions of Muslims, stressing confidence in the wisdom of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to contain this crisis and refute these conspiracies and malicious campaigns.
