Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Receives Secretary General of FAO's Commission for Controlling Desert Locusts

Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli received here today Secretary General of the Commission for Controlling Desert Locusts in the Central Region of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) affiliated to the United Nations, Maamoon bin Khamis Al-Sarai Al-Alawi.
During the meeting, they reviewed the efforts being exerted by the KSA, represented by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the support being provided for the Locust Control Commission over the past years.
The Kingdom joined the Desert Locust Control Commission in 1967 by royal decree, and effectively contributed to supporting the
Commission and locust breeding countries.
