Pan-Arab Parliament Highly Appreciates Efforts Exerted by KSrelief Center
Published in Saudi Press Agency on 04 - 07 - 2018

The Pan-Arab Parliament paid tribute to the efforts of King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Center (KSrelief) for its role, in rehabilitation of a large number of children recruited by the Houthi militia, in Yemen, in order to lead their normal life, afresh.
The Pan-Arab Parliament, in a resolution issued at the end of the fifth session of the second legislative chapter, at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Arab League here today, supported the actions of the Arab coalition forces, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and appreciated their efforts to restore children recruited by the Houthi militia and transfer a number of non-Yemeni conscripts to their respective embassies, the adoption of humanitarian operations and donations to support the efforts of the United Nations humanitarian organizations, in Yemen.
The Pan-Arab Parliament promised that the Al-Houthi militia would storm the orphanages in the capital Sana'a and recruit orphans in these roles and force them into the battlefields by forced force and use them as human shields, in an inhumane manner and contrary to the divine laws and international law.
He stressed that the use of humanitarian and international humanitarian aid by the Houthi militias to trade poor families in exchange for the recruitment or deprivation of their children (fighting for food) represents a clear and explicit breach of international humanitarian law and a flagrant challenge to the international community and the UN resolutions.
The Pan-Arab Parliament decided to address the Secretary-General of the United Nations, the Human Rights Council, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and UNICEF to call upon the international community to assume their responsibilities and to take urgent and practical measures to prevent the use of children in Yemen, the rehabilitation of all conscript children and the immediate cessation of recruitment of new children.
It also called upon the Secretary-General of the United Nations to continue support the efforts of the Yemeni National Committee to investigate the recruitment of children and to call upon the UN Security Council to refer the crimes of Al-Houthi's militia to the International Criminal Court and prosecute the leaders of Al-Houthi militia and their Iranian-regime supporters, in their action against humanity.
The Pan-Arab Parliament also decided to address the President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the regional parliaments to condemn the crimes of the Houthi militia against the humanity of Yemeni children, forcing them into the battlefields.
The Pan-Arab Parliament called on the United Nations and its specialized organizations to use all measures to counter the actions of the Houthi militia that target orphanages and recruit children, use of headquarters of government institutions, schools and hospitals to store weapons, looting relief and humanitarian aid and the need for international supervision of this relief aid bound for the Yemeni people.
